ChessPartyPoker combines chess and poker in a tournament where your performance on the chessboard gives you a head start at the poker table.
The tournament begins with seven rounds of Swiss-system blitz chess, with three minutes per player and a two-second increment per move (3+2). Every point you score in the chess stage earns you more chips for the poker stage.
All players receive a starting stack of 5,000 chips, plus 1,000 chips for every chess point. A half-point earns you 500 extra chips. The top three finishers in the chess tournament also receive bonus chips:
- 1st place: 5,000 extra chips
- 2nd place: 3,000 extra chips
- 3rd place: 1,000 extra chips
A player who wins the chess stage with a perfect score of seven points will start the poker stage with the maximum stack of 17,000 chips.
The competition then moves from the chessboard to the poker table. The poker stage follows a turbo format, with blinds increasing every 20 minutes and a five-minute break every hour.
The tournament continues until only one player has chips remaining and is crowned the winner of ChessPartyPoker.
