Odin vs. Anna: The deciding duel comes to ChessParty 2027
Two matches. One win each. Anna Cramling and Odin Blikra Vea will meet again at ChessParty 2027, where the third and deciding duel will settle the score.
The rivalry began in December 2024 at TakeTakeTake’s chess studio in Oslo. Across six games, Odin claimed the first match victory, winning 3½–2½. Anna fought to the very end, but the Norwegian Sjakksnakk host secured the bragging rights.
In May 2026, Anna delivered her answer. Playing at Svarta Hästen in Stockholm, she dominated the rematch, winning five games and drawing the remaining one for an emphatic 5½–½ victory. Odin had won the first encounter. Anna made sure there was no doubt about the second.
The rematch attracted huge interest, generating a reported 1.1 million views across YouTube and Twitch over three days, with Anna’s mother, Grandmaster Pia Cramling, providing commentary.
Now the match score stands at 1–1, and the next chapter will unfold at ChessParty. Anna will have the chance to claim a second consecutive victory on Swedish soil. Odin will have the opportunity to avenge a crushing defeat and take the lead in their rivalry once again. With Norwegian and Swedish pride in the mix, there will be plenty more than moves to follow.
The deciding duel is coming to Stockholmsmässan during ChessParty on April 23–24, 2027. Be there when Anna and Odin settle the score.
