International Master Edvin Trost is the reigning Swedish chess champion. He won silver at the 2022 European U16 Rapid Championship and finished fourth at the 2025 European U18 Championship.
In 2026, Edvin claimed the Swedish title at 19 on his first appearance in the championship’s top division. Later that year, he defeated a 2600-rated grandmaster at the Chess Olympiad in the game that secured Sweden a draw against Serbia.
