You may know them from world championship matches, livestreams, ski races or the commentary booth. Now these eight familiar names share a stake in the future of ChessParty.

Magnus Carlsen, a five-time classical World Champion, brings one of the most recognisable names in chess. Judit Polgár, widely regarded as the greatest female chess player of all time, has inspired generations through her achievements and her commitment to sharing the game.

Anna Cramling represents another powerful connection to the game: the players and fans who discover, follow and enjoy chess through digital content. Grandmaster David Howell combines his strength as a player with a warm and engaging commentary style, helping audiences understand and enjoy chess at the highest level.

Olympic and world champion Petter Northug brings a competitive spirit familiar to sports fans across the Nordic countries. Henrik Carlsen combines business experience with a deep understanding of chess and the environment that helps talent develop, having followed Magnus’s journey from his earliest encounters with the game.

Sverre Krogh Sundbø and Grandmaster Jon Ludvig Hammer are familiar voices to chess audiences. Through hosting, commentary and analysis, both have helped bring the game to a wider public and make its most exciting moments accessible to viewers.

Their different backgrounds reflect the idea behind ChessParty: bringing people together through chess. Experienced tournament players, online fans, families and curious newcomers all have a place in that community.

As ambassadors, the eight will help introduce ChessParty to more people. As co-owners, they also have a direct stake in its development. Their perspectives provide valuable input as we build on Stockholm’s success and develop the ChessParty experience further.

We are also in talks with other well-known figures who have expressed interest in becoming co-owners of ChessParty. More news on this soon.

The next edition takes place at Stockholmsmässan on April 23–24, 2027, with a larger arena, a growing programme and more announcements on the way.
