Victoria Larm
Victoria Larm is a Swedish author whose work blends history, mystery, and philosophical depth into compelling storytelling.
She made her literary debut in 2022 with The Ninth Circle, the first instalment in her historical suspense trilogy The Plague Mask. Set against richly detailed historical backdrops, her books explore themes of power, belief, and human nature. The series continued with A God in Disguise (2023) and is now set to be adapted into a TV series produced by Nordisk Film.
With a background in history and art history, combined with experience from the fashion industry, Larm brings a distinctive perspective to her writing – one that balances intellectual curiosity with a strong visual and narrative sensibility. Her work reflects a fascination with how ideas, culture, and human behaviour shape the world.
Beyond her writing, she has a deep interest in classical music and chess – two disciplines that mirror many of the themes found in her work: structure, creativity, and the tension between logic and intuition.
Together with Christer Sturmark, she co-hosts a popular podcast exploring topics such as art, literature, science, religion, and philosophy, engaging with some of the big questions of our time.
At ChessParty, Victoria Larm will co-host a live talkshow together with Christer Sturmark, featuring guests Isabella Löwengrip and Peter Doggers.
Bringing together voices from literature, media, entrepreneurship, and chess, the conversation will explore how the game connects with storytelling, culture, and modern society.
Whether you are drawn to ideas, narratives, or the deeper connections between disciplines, this is a session that promises both insight and inspiration.
