David Howell joins ChessParty Stockholm

Today Howell is one of the most recognisable and respected commentators in world chess, regularly covering elite tournaments for a global audience with his clear explanations, deep insights, and infectious enthusiasm for the game. His ability to combine top-level analysis with an accessible and engaging style has made him a favourite among chess fans around the world.
Earlier in his career he established himself as one of England’s strongest players. Howell became a grandmaster at just 16 years old, won the British Championship three times, and reached a peak rating above 2700, placing him among the world’s top players.
In recent years he has also developed strong ties to the Nordic chess community. Howell has spent significant time living in Oslo, and is part of the team behind the chess media platform Take Take Take, which produces content and coverage from many of the world’s leading tournaments.
At ChessParty Stockholm, David Howell will take part in Challenge a GM on Saturday at 14:30, where visitors can test their skills against him. He will also compete in the 1000-player tournament.
