Jon Ludvig Hammer set for ChessParty

We are delighted to announce that Jon Ludvig Hammer will be joining the lineup at ChessParty 2026 in Stockholm.
Jon Ludvig is one of Norway’s strongest players and a four-time Norwegian Champion, most recently claiming the title in 2025. A long-time member of the Norwegian national team, he is also widely recognised by chess fans around the world for his work as a commentator and analyst at major international events.
He also holds a unique place in chess history: Jon Ludvig is the only player known to have checkmated Magnus Carlsen with an en passant capture in a high-level online blitz session.
At ChessParty, Jon Ludvig will commentate the Play in Pairs Tournament (Adult/Child) on Friday at 19:00. On Saturday at 10:00, he will take part in Challenge a GM, where visitors can test their skills against him. He will also compete in the 1000-player tournament.
