Play a Master – Simen Agdestein Simul

Take on GM Simen Agdestein in a simultaneous exhibition — a rare chance to face a grandmaster across the board.

In a simul, Agdestein will play up to 20 opponents at the same time, moving from board to board as each player tries to hold their ground, find opportunities, and perhaps even score a memorable result.

Simultaneous chess is fast and demanding, and strong players are exceptionally efficient in these settings. The more experience you have, the more you’ll be able to engage with the positions and take something away from each move.

This is not just about the result, but the experience: testing your ideas against a world-class player, feeling the pressure of the position, and seeing how quickly and precisely a grandmaster responds.

The simul follows directly after Agdestein’s course — a perfect opportunity to apply what you’ve just learned in practice.
